Obama: Beleaguered Exec or Trojan Horse?

Trojan_horse

You know, at this point I believe that Obama was picked by the 1% (the Bilderbergs, et al) to be a kind of Trojan horse, so that he could put outrageous policies in place that no Republican ever could, while appealing to ‘liberals’ and the left because of his ethnicity and perceived progressive values.  Though I think the 1% would have slightly preferred McCain or Romney, it’s my belief they were hedging their bets in 2008 and in 2012 with Obama whom I believe was the ace up the sleeve, intended to usher in an era of globalized corporate government and an end to democracy as we have known it, all under the radar of the vast majority of people who aren’t paying attention.  How else do you explain all the campaign contributions from Wall Street?

It was also a brilliant stroke with regard to pitting everyone against one another, with all the Obamabots calling anyone who opposed him “racist,” alienating women who supported Hillary, pitting Democrats and third party and independents against one another, not to mention infuriating the radical right and the white supremacists.  He has polarized and splintered America like no one else could have and there’s nothing the puppetmasters like better than divide and conquer!

While Romney was a bad liar; Obama is a very skilled, manipulative, charming liar who could persuade anyone (almost) that he is a wonderful guy trying to do the right thing but who is being thwarted by those big bad Tea Party Republicans.  I am unconvinced by this argument, or that he is “weak” as many people on the left think, because his administration’s illegal wars, extrajudicial assassinations, drone attacks, “kill” list, illegal  wiretapping, demolition of civil liberties a la the NDAA 2012 and now 2013, HR 347, persecution of whistleblowers like Bradley Manning and Julian Assange, and secretly trying to pass the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) treaty that would enshrine a global corporate government reveal that he is anything but weak and suggest that he is, on the contrary, a power-wielding megalomaniac bent on faithfully serving the interests of the wealthy elite and the erection of a fascist state.

He tosses a few bones to the liberals (while he kicks the true Left in the teeth repeatedly) to keep them off his scent and pacified, all the while letting off all the war criminals, crooks, exploiters, polluters, and thieves, expanding the egregious abuses of his office, and decimating the Constitution.  He’s very good at practicing diversion, another malefactor’s tactic.  Indeed as many people have suggested, he does deserve to be impeached, but not because of a supposed lack of birth documents, but for his abandoning his oath of office and servile protectionism of the anti-democratic (not the Party!) powers-that-be.

Occupy Wall Street

I am so happy to see people beginning to stand up and reclaim their government!  I was online for several hours on Sunday with the people chatting on the Occupy Los Angeles livestreaming chat and sharing ideas regarding the protests and demands that are being formulated.  My own thinking on this is in view of the urgency with regard to the exercising of our civil rights, that repealing the Patriot Act should be at the top of the list along with preserving our ability to communicate with one another via the Internet.  There is currently a “resolution of disapproval” that has been ramrodded through the House of Representatives by big Telecom that undermines the Net Neutrality regulations that currently exist as well as banning the FCC from enacting future protections.  Texas Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison  is pushing for a vote in the Senate and we must stop this and any other such legislation from passing the Senate as it is a serious assault on our civil liberties and the level playing field to which we are all accustomed on the Internet.  So, because our right to assemble peaceably and to communicate freely are vital to the pursuit of any other goals, my two top recommendations for OWS demands are to repeal the Patriot Act and to save the Internet.

There are many other demands that we need to make in order to reclaim our democracy, and I think the one I would place third would be the reason behind occupying Wall Street, to end corporate greed by holding Wall Street and the Banks accountable by prosecuting them for wrongdoing and demanding they pay their fair share of taxes.

Another demand I think is essential is the revocation of corporate personhood, as this is a cancer that has metastasized throughout our system until the corporation runs our government while it pays few of the taxes, pays no royalties on mining and oil on public lands, pollutes our environment, and receives huge amounts of government money in subsidies and contracts.

Ending war would save lives as well as money and help us invest in rebuilding our country and democracy both at home and around the world.

These are the demands with which I would start that double as good slogans for the movement to reclaim our democracy:

  1. REPEAL THE SO-CALLED PATRIOT ACT! RESTORE THE BILL OF RIGHTS!
  2. A FREE AND OPEN INTERNET! SAVE NET NEUTRALITY!
  3. MAKE THE BANKS & WALL STREET PAY THEIR FAIR SHARE!
  4. PROSECUTE WALL STREET! PROSECUTE THE BANKS!
  5. END CORPORATE WELFARE! STOP SUBSIDIZING GREED!
  6. CLEAN UP THE ENVIRONMENT! MAKE POLLUTERS PAY!
  7. TAX THE RICHEST 1%! SUPPORT THE BUFFETT RULE!
  8. END ALL THE WARS! BRING THE TROOPS AND MONEY HOME!
  9. REVOKE CORPORATE PERSONHOOD! PEOPLE HAVE THE RIGHTS!

WE are the change we can believe in!!

NO PUBLIC OPTION, NO MANDATE!

President Obama needs to take a more forceful stand and rein in his Chief of Staff and stop pandering to the big insurance sellouts like Lieberman; Harry Reid and some other members of Congress are trying to fight for the public option and Reid needs to be encouraged to stand up for the citizens of this country by going to reconciliation. Instead, Rahm Emanuel is putting pressure on him to cave in to Joe Lieberman who is determined to sabotage any real reform. There is no health care reform without the public option; absent it, this bill is a trillion-dollar giveaway to the insurance industry in the form of a mandate and will bankrupt the middle class. In addition, this mandate is likely unconstitutional, as it would require citizens to buy a private industry product, a concept that seems legally insupportable. In the meantime, the big insurers are thrilled with Obama’s capitulation on these two crucial issues and their stocks are going up on Wall Street in anticipation of all the new conscripted customers the mandate will create.

NO PUBLIC OPTION, NO MANDATE!
